Paper with Simrén group is out

Together with the Simrén group the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition at  Sahlgrenska University Hospital we showed that large cohort of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has significantly lower heart rate variability (HRV).

IBS is a multifactorial disorder affecting 10-20% of the general population and is characterized by chronic abdominal pain in combination with altered bowel habits resulting to strongly reduced the quality of life.
